Have you ever felt when you listen to a song like "this is it;" like this makes perfect sense; you kind of bob your head a little and go "yeaa..that's it man."I just listened to a song where everything about it made perfect sense. It was the perfect song for that exact moment in time. I feel this way everyday when I hear it. The thing is...I don't know any of the words. I can really only make out a couple of them. But this song just makes perfect sense.

Now I've never really been partial to Avedon. It may be odd to you because he photographed many of the figures from a time which I admire. So you may ask, why are you then posting a picture by Mr. Richard Avedon? And I will reply to you, because it is a wonderful picture of Bob Dylan and one of those can never be denied.

After reading many forum posts by Canadiens calling the actions of the Stampede racist against French-Canadiens, Rob Clark, the owner of the Rhinos, posted the following picture on the forum. The Ultras were holding this banner at the match.

btw, the thing the Canucks were pissed about was the Stampede "ribbiting." Because a frog is apparently a derogatory term for a French-Canadien.

Ruether, following Catholic ethicist Christine Gudorf, rightly points out the contradictions involved in the Church’s “pro-life” positions on various issues in that it takes an absolutist natural law ethical approach on abortion while taking what Ruether and Gudorf consider a consequentialist approach on issues such as war. These are indeed real contradictions felt by anyone who surveys the various ecclesial statements on “life issues” with any sort of seriousness. The problem with Ruether’s critique is that she situates it within the unexamined assumption that because this contradiction is real, the Church is therefore wrong on abortion and needs to get its act together so to speak. It does not seem to occur to her that 1) this is indeed an assumption that at least needs to be argued lest she settle for preaching to the choir, or 2) that perhaps a Catholic that is deeply passionate about the full range of life issues could come to the opposite conclusion: the Church needs to straighten up its position on war."
